About Me

Lisa Morgan

Hi there, I’m Lisa! I opened Lakewood Bees in 2020, fulfilling a lifelong career goal. I always enjoyed working with children, a love that stemmed from babysitting as a teenager. This love blossomed as I became more educated and experienced in the field. I have now been caring for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers for 15 years!

Education

I believe that growing and learning is a lifelong process. While I dropped out of Sonoma State University when I realized that I preferred early childhood education to elementary education, I never stopped learning! I have taken classes pertaining to infants and toddlers at Cañada College and am currently attending Santa Rosa Junior College by taking online/evening classes. I also do my best to make time for the trainings made available to childcare providers through the 4Cs of Sonoma County.

Personality

Creative

I thrive on creativity, both in my personal hobbies and in my work with children. I find joy in knitting and playing the piano, and I bring this passion into my daycare program by incorporating music and art into daily activities. This creative approach not only enriches the children’s experiences but also supports their overall development in a fun and engaging way.

Outdoorsy

I love spending time outdoors, whether hiking with my family at the nearby regional and state parks or exploring the natural world with the children in my daycare. We make it a point to be outside for at least a couple of hours each day, enjoying our backyard and occasionally visiting nearby parks. Being outdoors fosters physical development, enhances social skills, and sparks curiosity, while exploring nature provides invaluable opportunities for children to learn about their environment, develop resilience, and cultivate a sense of wonder.

Fun

I’m young at heart and always up for some fun, bringing energy and excitement to every day. I love engaging in play, having spontaneous dance parties, and just being silly. My playful spirit helps create a lively and enjoyable environment where children feel free to explore, laugh, and learn.
